Pipe Penetrations

What Are Pipe Penetrations?

Another common place for water leaks in basements is where a pipe was installed through a home's foundation wall, such as a sewer line.  They can leak from any hole that's been cut through your basement wall though as its such an easy point of entry for ground water.

Causes

The main cause for a water leak to start around a pipe penetration is an insufficient or a deteriorated seal around the pipe.

If that's the case, you'll see cracked cement in the area around the pipe (sometimes, it's already falling out) or discolored caulk or foam where water has been staining it.

How We Repair Leaking Pipe Penetrations

It's all about rebuilding that seal.

We remove the existing failed parts of the old seal, patch it with a hydraulic cement, and then put a final layer of a liquid rubber membrane to guarantee the seal.

Warranty

We offer a 10-year warranty on pipe penetration repairs. No additional costs for labor or materials during that time.
